First Analysis analyst Howard Smith upgraded CalAmp to Overweight and raised his price target for the shares to $29 from $25. Following meetings with management, the analyst believes the company is increasingly positioned as a "differentiated wireless IoT partner to large enterprises rather than simply a hardware supplier." He sees this resulting in higher margins and a higher share price.
