Jefferies analyst Christopher Mandeville added Casey's General Stores to his firm's Franchise Picks List and upped his price target for the shares to $143. The presence of an activist provides investors with a win/win situation, Mandeville tells investors in a research note. Management will either show greater urgency to enhance profitability or holders will grow impatient and ultimately back the activist for a sale, the analyst contends. He keeps a Buy rating on Casey's.
