Macquarie analyst Sameer Rathod said the Freeport LNG project delay of 9-12 months is a "critical" blow to CB&I and could result in another cost overrun, putting further stress on recently increased debt covenants. The analyst remains "quite cautious" on CB&I saying the overruns will pressure the company's fragile liquidity situation and reiterates his Underperform rating.
