Cowen analyst Nick Yako initiated Carbon Black with a Market Perform rating and $18 price target, saying the company is well positioned as more businesses look to deploy endpoint protection in the cloud over the next 3-5 years. In a research note to investors, Yako says he believes the company's decision to pivot to a cloud first company was the right move, although the transition will take time as high growth in the cloud business will be offset by a relatively flat on-premise business.
