JPMorgan analyst Sterling Auty said Check Point's (CHKP) "very good" quarterly report supports his expectation that security companies had a good finish to 2016 and he predicts this report to be the start of good results for others in the space, such as CyberArk (CYBR), Mimecast (MIME), Imperva (IMPV) and Fortinet (FTNT). Auty noted that Palo Alto Networks (PANW) has a quarter-end date of January, but added that he believes its quarter-to-date business has been good.
