Cowen analyst Paul Silverstein said Ciena's (CIEN) plans to develop new distribution channels for its WaveLogic Ai, its newest DSP coherent modem technology, by partnering with optical component suppliers Lumentum (LITE), Oclaro (OCLR) and NeoPhotonics (NPTN) can expand Ciena's serviceable market opportunity, thereby likely driving enhanced revenue growth and profitability. Silverstein did not adjust his estimates yet, but he reiterated his Outperform rating and $35 price target on Ciena shares.
