JPMorgan analyst Samik Chatterjee started Ciena with an Overweight rating and $36 price target. The analyst initiated coverage on the Networking Equipment industry with a favorable growth outlook, partly offset by pricing headwinds from lower cost per bit of data. Chatterjee likes Ciena's leverage to a multi-year investment cycle driven by densification of the network.
