Cowen analyst Paul Silverstein said he sees near-term risk to gross margins for Ciena due to elevated pricing pressure. The analyst said he continues to see the company poised for a strong multi-year, and potentially far longer, growth cycle driven by solid end demand and ongoing share gain. He said it remains a favorite idea and he would use any weakness as a buying opportunity. Silverstein reiterated his Outperform rating and $33 price target on Ciena shares.
