Lake Street analyst Jaeson Schmidt views Adtran's (ADTN) lowered Q4 outlook this morning as a net negative for Clearfield (CLFD). A muted spending environment could create headwinds for the company in the first half of fiscal 2018, Schmidt contends. He still likes Clearfield longer term and keeps a Buy rating on the shares.
