After Starwood Waypoint announced a merger agreement with Colony Capital's single family rental business, Colony American Homes, RBC Capital thinks the deal will enable Colony Capital to obtain a positive return on its investment, boost its liquidity and produce "meaningful potential operating leverage." RBC Capital also thinks the deal will produce significant synergies over time. It keeps a $33 price target and Outperform rating on Colony.
