Macquarie analyst Amy Yong upgraded Comcast (CMCSA) to Outperform and raised its price target to $77 from $69 saying the AT&T (T)/Time Warner (TWX) and Starz (STRZA)-Lionsgate (LGF) deals highlight the merits of distribution content. Yong said Comcast is becoming a one-stop shop for all things consumer with wireless optionality, digital initiatives, and Xfinity's brand paired with strategic acquisitions like DreamWorks and BuzzFeed. The analyst said Comcast's balance sheet optionality leaves room for further vertical deals and said its DreamWorks' TV business, library of content, and direct piper into China are heavenly undervalued.
