Bernstein analyst Sara Senatore notes that she has viewed Chipotle as "significantly undermanaged under previous leadership," on both top line and margin. Six months into CEO Brian Niccol's tenure, the benefits of new leadership are apparent, she contended. The analyst believes the CEO role has been filled by a "talented industry veteran," Brian Niccol, who also replaced other executives where appropriate and added senior roles that would be standard for most companies but went unfilled at Chipotle.
