BB&T analyst Garrett Nelson downgraded Compass Minerals to Hold on expectations that salt shipments will be weak and potential downside to current 2016 guidance ahead of the early April release of its Q1 salt shipments and snow events data. Further, the acquisition of Produquimica, a Brazilian micronutrients producer, could adversely impact the company's leverage ratio, the analyst said.
