MKM Partners analyst Eric Handler lowered his price target on Cinemark to $43, also lowering his Q3 domestic box office forecast to 2.5% from 10% on weaker than anticipated gross sales in July and August. The analyst adds that quarter-to-date box office revenue is up 3%, while September is tracking at only a modest rate of growth. Handler still keeps his Buy rating on Cinemark, noting that its Latin American box office results have been stronger than the domestic performance and pacing to be in line to come in slightly better than his current forecast.
