Piper Jaffray analyst Kevin Barker started Capital One Financial with an Underweight rating and $81 price target. The company is " stuck in a cyclical downtrend" as margins are declining amid heavy competition and credit loss rates continue to move back towards historical levels, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Barker believes consensus earnings estimates are too aggressive.
