Canaccord analyst Ken Herbert said the B/E Aerospace (BEAV) acquisition by Rockwell Collins (COL) solves a management succession question for B/E while providing a long-term growth platform for Rockwell Collins. The analyst sees little product overlap and said the deal gives Rockwell roughly 55% exposure to the commercial transport business. Herbert also noted Rockwell gave lower than expected 2017 guidance, but he reiterated his Buy rating and $94 price target on Rockwell Collins shares.
