Piper Jaffray analyst Matthew Clark upgraded Columbia Banking System to Overweight and raised his price target for the shares to $46 from $43. The accelerating loan growth seen in Q2 should persist in Q3, Clark tells investors in a research note. He believes Columbia deserves a premium multiple as "one of the best core, funded C&I lenders in the industry."
