Piper Jaffray analyst William Quirk lowered his price target for Cepheid after the company's preliminary Q3 results missed expectations and its guidance was lowered. Quirk is "clearly disappointed" with the miss but feels many of the catalysts driving his thesis remain intact. He believes the 34% share selloff since the company's analyst day provides an attractive long-term entry point and keeps an Overweight rating on Cepheid.
