Craig-Hallum analyst Anthony Stoss says that recent iFixit teardown confirms Cirrus Logic's (CRUS) Adaptive Noise Cancelation, or ANC, is not in the new Apple (AAPL) AirPods 2. The analyst believes shares of Cirrus Logic have risen 30%-plus since hitting their low in the beginning of January on investor belief that it was in the AirPods 2. The low power codec looks very similar to the previously used Maxim Integrated (MXIM) codec, which leads the analyst to believe Apple is likely using Maxim Integrated again. Stoss believes that given the rally in shares and historically high PE, Cirrus Logic's shares will likely selloff as investors figure out their assumptions were incorrect. He reiterates a Hold rating and a $38 price target on Cirrus Logic stock.
