Needham analyst Alex Henderson keeps his Buy rating and $92 price target on Crowdstrike (CRWD) but adds the stock to Needham Conviction List in favor of Zscaler (ZS) and calls it his "Single Best Idea in Security" heading into 2020. The analyst writes that the company's "technology, platform and efficacy" combine to create "one of the core platforms in Security" regardless of its customer strategy. Henderson adds that Crowdstrike offers the "right technology" to improve security for either legacy perimeter defense or for "emerging, zero-trust" cloud-direct security.

Zscaler announced innovations - ZDX Copilot, Hosted Monitoring, and Data Explorer - to its Zscaler Digital Experience service. The new ZDX Copilot, an AI assistant, instantly analyzes and harnesses knowledge from over 500 trillion data points daily across users, devices, networks, and applications, to provide IT operations, service desk, and security teams insights they need related to digital experience and performance. Teams can ask sequences of questions to effectively converse with Copilot, which uses Generative AI, to review high-level trends and progressively narrow results down to specific actionable insights.
