Scotia Howard Weil analyst Philip Stuart downgraded Carrizo Oil & Gas to Sector Perform from Outperform following the stock's jump in early April due to the involvement of activist Kimmeridge pushing for a sale or merger, as he does not feel that the company has enough scale in the Permian to attract any suitors for the overall company and does not see selling the Eagle Ford as a viable option.
