As previously reported, Needham analyst Mike Matson downgraded Cardiovascular Systems two notches to Underperform from Buy. Matson said the company missed Q2 consensus revenue estimates and earnings beat and management guided Q2 below Street expectations. The analyst expects it to take a year for Cardiovascular Systems to return to positive revenue growth and expects the company to burn most its cash over the next 18 months and will need to take on debt before reaching profitability. Furthermore, Matson said an acquisition of the company is unlikely until revenue growth stabilizers and its share price increases.
