Summit Research analyst Henry Guo calls Ctrip.com's (CTRP) share exchange transaction with Baidu (BIDU) a "huge positive." Baidu will own about 25% of Ctrip's voting interest and Ctrip will own about 45% of Qunar's (QUNR) voting interest. The deal "significantly increases the likelihood" of profitability improvement over the next couple of years for both companies, Guo tells investors in a research note. After the deal, Ctrip and Qunar are likely have 70%-80% of China's hotel and air ticket market, the analyst estimates. He maintains a Buy rating on Ctrip.com with a $122 price target.
