After attending the company's annual GO conference, Jefferies analyst Brent Thill says Commvault Systems' new software-as-a-service offering Metallic opens up a new "meaningful opportunity" for the company. If Commvault can improve go-to-market efforts, there is "significant value that can be unlocked from this asset," Thill tells investors in a research note titled "Reset Story - Down But Not Out." Execution issues have weighed on shares year-to-date, the analyst points out. He keeps a Buy rating on Commvault with a $59 price target.
