Leerink analyst Ana Gupte downgraded Community Health Systems (CYH) to Market Perform citing the company's "disappointing" Q3 preannouncement. The has more confidence in her firm's "bearish neutral outlook" on the Acute Inpatient sector given the Community Health and HCA Holdings (HCA) preannouncements. She cut her price target for Community Health shares to $33 from $75.

Reports Q1 revenue $3.14B, consensus $3.09B. On a same-store basis, admissions increased 3.8% and adjusted admissions increased 1.9%, compared to the same period in 2023.
