As reported previously, Mitsubishi UFJ analyst Stephen Bersey downgraded Tableau (DATA) to Underweight from Neutral and lowered his price target on the stock to $48 from $81 following the company's Q1 report and "cautious" guidance. Bersey sees a "precipitous decline in end-market demand" as being ahead for Tableau and believes it will need to improve its sales force productivity. Tableau's comments about a "tight IT spending environment in 2016" differs materially from competitor Qlik's (QLIK) comments just last week about the "strong demand" it was seeing across SMB, midmarket, and large enterprises, Bersey noted.
