As previously reported, Drexel Hamilton downgraded Tableau to Hold from Buy. Analyst Brian White said Tableau's Q3 shortfall and "chilling outlook" reflects a company that has lost its competitive edge in a sea of larger IT/cloud vendors that offer a broad array of solutions with more attractive price points. He believes the company would be better off under the umbrella of a large IT or cloud vendor.
