UBS believes the recent weakness in both Dollar General (DG) and Dollar Tree (DLTR) presents a buying opportunity. The firm sees Dollar General as having an opportunity to improve its stores from an operating standpoint, combining the company's supply chain, and to improve operations through the integration of Family Dollar Stores. UBS said the Dollar Tree story remains compelling with Q2 margins heavily influenced by the inclusion of Family Dollar and expectations from improved earnings power long-term. Both Dollar General and Dollar Tree are Buy rated at UBS.
