FBR Capital analyst Barton Crockett believes Disney's earnings in FY17 could be 35% above FY15 levels. Star Wars: Force Awakens could make a profit of $2.7B, and the spin/sequel Rogue One is slated for a December 16, 2016, domestic release, Crockett tells investors in a research note. A typical assumption for sequels is performance near the predecessor, which could equate to a $1.6B-$2.4B increase to his current $300M film profit estimate for Rogue One, the analyst writes. Crockett believes Disney's earnings in FY17 could be 35% above FY15, which he thinks could drive similar stock appreciation. The analyst has an Outperform rating on Disney with a $126 price target.
