Cleveland Research analyst Rusty Wilson said his checks lead him to believe that Q3-to-date comps at Dick's Sporting Goods seem to be trending ahead of consensus expectations. He assumes comps are up about 3.5% quarter-to-date, but given his expectations for some slowing in October he forecasts Q3 comps to rise 2.8%, which is ahead of the 2.3% quarterly comp growth consensus. Wilson has a Neutral rating on Dick's shares.
