BMO Capital analyst Richard Carlson initiated Delphi Technologies with an Outperform rating and a price target of $73. Carlson contends the valuation on the stock is too low after its Aptiv spinoff based on the company's position as a "pure-play and an industry leader in advanced propulsion technology", which he sees among the "most attractive areas to invest in the automotive space today". The analyst anticipates a major shift in the mix of powertrain technologies on vehicles globally, helping the company grow well above underlying global vehicle production with resistance to cyclical forces. Carlson calls Delphi Technologies his Top Pick in the space in 2018.
