As previously reported, BofA/Merrill downgraded Delphi Technologies to Underperform from Neutral. Analyst John Murphy said Delphi is leveraged to an ongoing improvement in the internal combustion powertrain cycle, which he expects will slow over the next 5-15 years, and not the growing market of hybridization and electrification. Murphy expects intensifying macroeconomic headwinds from increasing raw material costs, trade tensions, and FX volatility, and lower earnings and returns over the long run.
