UBS analyst Spiro Dounis downgraded Diana Shipping to Sell saying the stock carries more risk than reward following its relative outperformance. Dounis sees an "extended downturn" ahead for the bulkers and cut his price target for shares to $6.25 from $7.50. While most bulker stocks are down over 70% in the last year, Diana has only dropped 37% in the "worst bulker market in the past 30 years," the analyst writes. Shares of Diana Shipping closed yesterday down 14c to $6.59. Dounis coupled the downgrade with a double upgrade of Teekay Tankers(TNK), a stock he took to Buy from Sell.
