Stephens analyst Will Slabaugh noted that Chili's just posted the best two-year same-store sales growth trends the brand has seen in over 5 years and that these trends continued accelerating in October. He also notes that consensus for Chili's parent Brinker is "virtually at the bottom" of the company's fiscal year guidance range, which he sees allowing for "fairly straightforward earnings upside" even if the company simply hits the midpoint of its range. The analyst, who expects a continuation of solid results to help Brinker's multiple, raised his price target on the stock to $55 from $50 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares.
