Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Olson said that Madden NFL 16, released today, is getting "very strong" early reviews, noting that the average "metacritic" rating for the game would be the highest score for the franchise in over 10 years. The firm had been projecting 5M units of Madden to ship in the company's FY16, but Olson now believes that estimate could prove overly conservative given the reviews and a larger next-gen console base. Piper has an Overweight rating and $85 price target on Electronic Arts.
