Stephens analyst Jeff Cohen said in a note to investors before the open that he was "very encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive reaction" to the Apex Legends Season 2 trailer that was released by Electronic Arts yesterday. He believes the engagement, which is tracking significantly above Season 1, bodes well for the game's success ahead of it going live on July 2. He continues to think Season 2 could generate over $150M in revenue, which could lead to upside to EA's full year guidance for the game of $300M-$400M. The analyst, who noted that he believes buyside expectations for Apex are closer to the low-end to middle of that range, keeps an Overweight rating and $120 price target on EA shares.
