Mizuho analyst James Lee says eBay last night reported inline revenues but missed operating profits consensus. Further, U.S. gross merchandise volume excluding Stubhub decelerated modestly to 6.5% year-over-year growth from 6.7% last quarter, the first time in five quarters, Lee tells investors in a post-earnings research note. He remains concerned about tougher GMV comps in the second half of 2018 and an expected revenue acceleration from 7% to 9% year-over-year growth in the back half. The analyst lowered his price target for eBay shares to $39 from $40 and keeps an Underperform rating on the name.
