CLSA analyst Youngrin Kim downgraded New Oriental Education to Outperform from Buy with a price target of $149.96, up from $140.50. In a research note to investors, Kim says the company's Q2 results beat revenue estimates by 2%, with a consecutive quarterly margin beat, adding that the company has already adjusted for the regulatory impact and should enjoy higher utilization. However, with the stock up 111.5% over the past 12 months, he sees some positives being priced-in.

Morgan Stanley raised the firm's price target on New Oriental Education to $95 from $85 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. The firm, which models revenue to grow 45% year-over-year in fiscal Q3 and 38% year-over-year in FY24, expects the education businesses to sustain strong revenue growth and margin improvement in FY24, despite East Buy perhaps being a margin drag due to higher investment needs, the analyst tells investors.
