As reported earlier, SunTrust analyst Neal Dingmann initiated Enerplus with a Buy rating and a price target of $18, saying the stock has been relatively overlooked based on its perception of merely a royalty/dividend paying company. The analyst contends that the company also offers a "high return resource development in the U.S. and Canada with increasing activity in its Bakken assets located in the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation", along with about 35K of exploratory acres in the , Denver-Julesburg basin and Marcellus / Canadian Waterford assets. Dingmann believes that these assets could add to Enerplus cash flows this year and offer "strong optionality" for the future.
