Goldman Sachs analyst Venetia Baden-Powell initiated coverage of easyJet with a Sell rating. The analyst cites the company's relatively higher unit costs after an annual increase of 2% over the past 15%, even though the airline "lacks the pricing power or unit revenue level of a flag carrier" as its operations are limited to the "fragmented short-haul EU market." Baden-Powell believes that these factors limit easyJet's profitability relative to its "more efficient peers".
