Baird analyst Matthew Gillmor maintained an Outperform rating on Evolent Health and added the stock as a positive Fresh Pick after traveling with management last week. In a research note to investors, Gillmor says he expects better clarity on the Passport rate situation over the near-term and, according to management, recent indications are positive. Additionally, the analyst says it is possible Evolent's relationship with Passport could expand, and says he is optimistic this, along with other factors, should drive accelerating revenue and EBITDA growth into 2020, resulting in material upside for the stock over the next 3-6 months.
