Baird analyst Catherine Ramsey noted that Health Care Service Corporation, or HCSC, which is the nation's largest customer-owned health insurance company as the owner of several Blue Cross and Blue Shield systems, has posted a pending medical policy that would provide coverage for Exact Sciences' Cologuard. Coverage of the test by HCSC would be a "significant win" and could help pressure other payors to update their policies, said Ramsey, who keeps an Outperform rating on Exact Sciences shares.
