Northcoast analyst Kevin Hocevar downgraded Eagle Materials to Neutral from Buy due to challenges in the wallboard market. Hocevar said industry shipment data indicates a decline of 10% versus his prior estimate of down 6%. The analyst expects Eagle to materially underperform peers due to its overweight exposure to the distribution channel, exposure to slowing West South Central, and share losses to USG.
