As previously reported, Longbow upgraded Fastenal to Buy from Neutral with a $55 price target. Analyst Chris Dankert said distribution checks are at the highest level to date trending at 5.3% growth, an acceleration from 4.3% growth reported during March checks. The analyst said heavy equipment demand has driven the acceleration and increases his confidence for an industrial recovery in 2H 2017 into 2018.
