As previously reported, William Blair analyst Louie DiPalma upgraded Flir Systems to Outperform from Market Perform after conducting industry checks and meeting with management. In the near-term, DiPalma believes Flir's enhanced automation and software capabilities are rendering its sensors more powerful and driving adoption. Additionally, DiPalma believes thermal sensors will be common in autonomous vehicles over the longer term, which could be a major source of long-term upside.
