Loop Capital analyst James Kisner lowered his price target on Finisar (FNSR) to $20 and kept his Hold rating, saying that while the company's Q1 results were "solid", its Q2 guidance was mixed with lower than expected revenue outlook. The analyst notes that even as the company continues to plan to ramp up its 3D sensing revenue, the management has acknowledged that its outlook is based on the qualification with its largest 3D sensing customer Apple (AAPL). Kisner further cites the "tough competitive environment in datacom optics and execution risk around 3D sensing".
