Goldman Sachs analyst Sahar Islam upgraded Golar LNG to Neutral from Sell with a $12.50 price target. The analyst believes that after a 26% year-to-date decline in the stock price, the weakness in natural gas prices has now been priced in to the stock. Islam adds that the LNG prices were further worsened by the Russia-Ukraine gas-transit agreement in late December and by persistent mild weather weighing on heating demand, but he sees potential changes to the company structure as an upside risk for the shares.
