Citi analyst Itay Michaeli makes the case for "significant" long-term upside potential in shares of General Motors. The analyst believes GM's "highly overlooked" pickup truck fundamentals are just as integral to the investment case as "Car of the Future and RoboTaxis." If both themes play out, Michaeli thinks the stock's long-term upside case can well exceed his Street-high price target of $53. His analysis yields a long-term potential stock price range of $46-$98, with $72 at the midpoint. The analyst continues to believe GM will emerge as one of the winners in the rapidly changing automaker space. Michaeli has a Buy rating on the shares. The automaker closed yesterday at $38.70.
