Wells Fargo analyst Gordon Douthat downgraded Gastar Exploration to Underperform from Market Perform with a $0 price target and subsequently dropped coverage of the name. Gastar's ongoing pursuit of strategic alternatives, which could include chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, casts doubt on the company's ability to remain a going concern, Douthat tells investors in a research note.
