Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas upgraded Goodyear Tire two notches to Overweight from Underweight and raised its price target to $54 from $24. The analyst believes tires are entering a period of secular growth as the technology revolution in mobility will drive growth in miles traveled at 2x historical levels. The analyst sees Goodyear focusing on higher value areas of fleet service and distribution with higher competitive barriers and potentially significant financial value.
